Dialogue with Torsten Koalick from the organization team of the CAI Drebkau
In a very short term the CAI in Drebkau – held from 2nd- 5th July, 2015 - were recognized by the FEI as World Cup ™ qualifying event for the Four-in-Hands. Now, it is possible to collect the desired points at this competition for the starting places for the indoor season 2015/2016.
Torsten Koalick of the organization team CAI Drebkau:
"It's been a very big challenge in very short time to set up such a project like a FEI World Cup ™ qualifier. But our whole team is working firmly and we have set ourselves the goal, to create the optimum conditions even for the Four-in-Hand Drivers in Drebkau. The German FN has actively supported us to take the start to establish Drebkau as another international Driving sport event in Germany, for the big Four-in-Hand sport. A big thank also to the FEI, which has processed and approved this in such short time.
I am an athlete myself and I know how big the organization behind the start of an event is. And also the planning in the short term, it is not easy for the Four-in-Hand drivers. The CAI in Drebkau is a horse and driver oriented event - and we have now focused to offer the Four-in-Hand Drivers our utmost.
- - The "VET – Horse Inspection" was laid for the Four-in-Hand Drivers on Thursday evening
- - We have invited 3 FEI judges to Drebkau, who will also judge at the FEI European Championships in Aachen for Four-in-Hands 2015. Dr. Klaus Christ (GER), Hanspeter Rüschlin (SUI) and Jan-Erik Pålsson (SWE) will be members of the Ground Jury at the Four-in-Hand
- - The prize money for the Four-in-Hand competition is still 9.500.- €uro
- - And there are also the special prize for the fastest drive in the water hazard "Raakow River"
- - Free live video stream from the whole international Driving sport event in Drebkau 2015
- - The best - most transparent - scoring service by Helmut Brinkmann
Already at the end of last year, we wanted to take the big step towards and bring the top Four-in-Hand sport to the CAI Drebkau. Unfortunately, at that time, by an appeal of the OC of the CAI Lipica, our plans were blocked to make a CAI3* for Four-in-Hands at our event. Now, after the cancellation of the FEI World Cup™ Qualifier in Lipica, we took the big chance, and in very short term, we got the commitment by the FEI to organize an FEI World Cup™ Qualifier during our CAI3* this year.
Now, we hope for the support of the international Four-in-Hand Drivers and if everything goes well this year and I have already spoken with our cooperation partner in the Czech Republic, the OC-team of the CAI Němčice u Kolína, we would like to establish both CAI events in 2016 as FEI World Cup™ Qualifiers.
However, we will not lose our single and pair drivers out of sight. We love the whole Driving sport – and ACTIVE as driver and ACTIVE as organizer – Welcome Driving sport world in Drebkau 2015 – from the 2nd to the 5th of July – Welcome Driving sport world in the heart of Europe!"
